Anniversary of The Salvation Army Australia (video)

5th September is the anniversary of The Salvation Army in Australia. It all began in 1880, when two blokes on the back of a cart in Adelaide’s Botanic Park led the first Salvation Army meeting, offering a meal at the end to anyone in need.
The firm belief that ‘faith is always tied to action’ is why the Salvos continue to reach out today with services and meals to anyone who needs help, continuing our mission: ‘to transform Australia, one life at a time, with the love of Jesus’.
